The NovaUltra Fontana Masson Stain Kit is designed to demonstrate argentaffin granules and melanin in tissue sections. Melanin and argentaffin cell granules appear black, while nuclei are stained pink-red and cytoplasm pale pink. The kit can be used with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections and is also described for frozen sections. It includes silver nitrate, gold chloride, sodium thiosulfate, and Nuclear Fast Red solutions.
