The NovaUltra Luxol Fast Blue Stain Kit is intended for demonstrating myelin and myelinated axons in brain and spinal cord tissue. Myelin, including phospholipids, is stained blue to green, while neurons appear violet. The method is suitable for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections and can also be used on frozen sections. The kit includes Luxol Fast Blue, Cresyl Violet, and lithium carbonate solutions.
