The NovaUltra Masson Trichrome Stain Kit is used to visualize collagen fibers in tissue sections, including tissues such as skin and heart. Collagen is stained blue, nuclei black, and cytoplasm, muscle fibrin, and erythrocytes red. The kit is intended for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections and may also be used for frozen sections. Five solutions are supplied for the trichrome staining procedure.
